Our Client is a prestigious company that operates in the Oil and Gas sector.

FUNCTION

Implement and maintain effective cost control processes for assigned departmental functions within a major LNG project during the execution and close-out phases; perform Life of Project (LOP) cost stewardship activities including budgeting, forecasting, change management, cost reporting, commitment tracking, invoice verification and cash flow projections; prepare monthly cost reports, financial analyses and budget updates in coordination with scope owners and budget holders; support the identification and tracking of cost risks and opportunities; calculate and document the monthly Value of Work Done (VOWD) in accordance with project procedures; ensure timely review and verification of invoices in line with contractual terms and finance assurance requirements; support the assessment and control of contract cost variations and changes; administer Request for Services processes for assigned functions; ensure integrity and accuracy of project cost data within cost control systems; support the preparation of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) deliverables and audit requirements; perform invoice and commitment verification activities within SAP UNISOL; liaise with Finance and Project Management teams regarding cost and accounting matters; support the collection of lessons learnt and continuous improvement initiatives; ensure strict confidentiality of all budget and cost documentation; ensure compliance with corporate procedures, HSE standards and project governance requirements.


Requisitos

Minimum Education of Engineer/Bachelor degree in Business management or similar;

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in cost control, preferably within Oil & Gas or large industrial projects;

Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, change management, financial reporting and cost control methodologies;

Experience with Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS), Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and contingency management;

Knowledge of SAP systems, preferably SAP UNISOL;

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and cost control tools;

Fluency in English and Portuguese;

French language skills will be considered an advantage;

Strong analytical, organisational and deadline management skills;

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and international stakeholders;

Availability to travel when required by the project;

Mozambican Nationality.
